Holehonnur: A newborn baby boy was found near Mallapura village late on Monday night around 10:45 pm.
Kusha of Sasvehalli village was returning after admitting his elder uncle’s son, Tippesha, for treatment at McGann Hospital in Shivamogga due to ill health. While passing near Mallapura village, he heard the sound of a baby crying. He then went to the spot with the help of his sister-in-law, where they found a 2–3-day-old baby boy.
After inquiring at the nearby houses and confirming that the baby did not belong to anyone in the area, they lodged a complaint at the town police station.
